Will Enzyme Therapy Work well for the Treatment of Breast Cancer?

Will Enzyme Therapy Work well for the Treatment of Breast Cancer?

Cancer is one of the dreadful diseases and that too, breast cancer is too much painful, both physically and mentally. There are different therapies nowadays for cancer, but their success rate depends on different factors. Early detection is considered to be most vital in determining if the treatment for breast cancer will give positive results or not.

Among different kinds of therapies available for treating breast cancer, Enzyme Therapy is one. This is one of the most beneficial and proven methods of treatment. Let us know more about this treatment procedure:
An Enzyme is a biocatalyst which can accelerate chemical reactions taking place inside living organisms and their cells. These are specific in their function i.e. proteases catalyze the reactions involving proteases and lipases work on lipids only.

Cancer cells become enzyme-inhibitors through their different kinds of secretions which prevent the production of proteases in the pancreas of the body. The Glyco proteins released from the cancer cells also take part in enzyme inhibition. That is the reason why, pancreatic enzymes are provided in cancer treatment.
Also, pancreatic enzymes attack the proteins present on the cell membrane of cancerous cells. This will lead to cancer cells becoming weaker and more susceptible for the action of immune system. But these enzymes will attack only cancer cells and will not harm our healthy bodily cells, because these enzymes work based on the electrical charge possessed by the cancer cells.

Nowadays, enzyme therapy is gaining due importance. Studies are showing that enzyme treatment is giving good results in the treatment of patients suffering from breast and colo-rectal cancers. Also, best part of implementing this therapy is that it reduced tumor-induced and therapy-induced side effects. Following properties of the enzymes are useful in the treatmentof cancers:

Improve immune system
Anti inflammation
Anti infections
Anti tumor
Anti metastatic

Note: But enzyme therapy is not having FDA approval and hence its implementation is not recommended by many. One can go for this treatment at their own risk.

Types of Breast Cancer: Ductal & Lobular Breast Cancers

Types of Breast Cancer: Ductal & Lobular Breast Cancers

To have more awareness about breast cancer, it is very much important to know about its stages and its types. This will help in protecting oneself from this disease in a better way, and it will also help in avoiding the triggers that cause this disease.

Oncology is the study related to cancers and the specialist doctors who examines and treats this disease is called oncologist.

Following the stages and types of breast cancer:

Based on Spreading Nature:
Invasive Breast Cancer:
it is a type of breast cancer which spreads to the surrounding areas also. It will not be confined to site of origin but will spread to surrounding tissues as well as organs. In case of inflammatory cancer, soft tissues of the breast will be the target cells.
Non Invasive Breast Cancer:
in this type of cancer, the cancerous cells will not spread to surrounding tissues or organs. These cancerous cells will be confined to the site of origin. But if this type of breast cancer is not detected in early stages, it will spread to other surrounding areas.

Based on the Tissue Affected
Ductal Carcinoma: It is the most common types of breast cancer. More than eighty five percent of the cases are of this category only. The ducts underneath the areola of breast & nipple are the milk ducts to nipple. Ductal carcinoma is the cancer which affects the cells and tissues present in these ducts. It is a type of non invasive cancer and it can be treated by removing the cells through radiation. If it turns in to invasive type by spreading to surrounding tissues, then chemotherapy and mastectomy are to be performed.
Lobular Carcinoma: This type of breast cancer is less common when compared to ductal carcinoma. In this type, the cells producing the milk are affected. If this kind of cancer is not treated properly on time it will spread to other tissues and cells of breast, making the cancer more dreadful and incurable.

Based on the type and stage of breast cancer, the treatment will vary. One should go for the diagnosis of breast cancer, whenever she gets a doubt of it. Early detection will increase the chances of treating the cancer.
